read.

Day 4. 1990s - The perks of being a wallflower by Steven Chbosky. This book made me full even though I didn’t know I was empty. This is one of the most loveliest books that I’ve ever read and sincerely, it’s like an old friend to me. It was published in 1999, I read it two years ago and I love this cover (even though its my sister’s)

"I love this cover because it takes themes or motifs from the first book that will carry through on this one and the third one, too. They have the negative image of the owl on the first book, and there is a negative image of an owl on the second cover — instead of being behind that solitary figure, it’s actually in front of them and reflected in that watery surface.
The first cover was in the woods and you see a sea in the distance. In this one, it’s more of an interior, where it’s almost like a tunnel, which is a little bit of a teaser of the second book.” -Rick Yancey
